lucasthatsme said: “Boo!”
He shook his head in amusement and raised a brow, “making an effort to not scare me now?”
"You don’t like it when i sneak up on you and now I didn’t"
Lucas’s efforts were in vain. The men were well-trained, and had already done kidnappings like this before - they weren’t going to let him give them the slip. It’s barely three days before they’re in Denmark. They’ve got him tied up and sitting in the bottom of a carriage now, and it’s just nightfall as they arrive at a rather unassuming-looking cottage. They drag Lucas in, dumping him on the floor in front of a group of men. One of them tears the gag off him, making it obvious it is Lucas, and that he’s still alive.
"…Good work, gentlemen." With a smile, Mathias hands them a satchel of money. Once it’s all counted out the kidnappers leave, leaving Lucas on the floor surrounded by the new group. Mathias kneels down next to Lucas. "It’s been a while, hasn’t it?"
Tired. He was so tired. Being on a boat for about three days with kidnappers he had seen brutally murder two guards, did not exactly help him sleep. Once in a while he drifted off for an hour or two, due to his body not being able to keep awake anymore.
He didn’t resist when he was brought out from the boat and into a carriage. There was a faint resistance when he was dragged into the cottage, but he didn’t stand a chance.
Sitting on the floor, head bowed and eyes only half open, he heard a voice he recognized. His eyes widened slightly and he slowly looked up to see someone he knew kneeling down next to him. He could feel himself being filled with rage. He didn’t feel that tired anymore. He screamed in anger, trying to lash out at the other. He forgot for a second that he was tied up, resulting in him falling on his side, hitting his head on the floor.
"Well, I’m so glad you did!! I picked it out special with you in mind." She sits down in one of her rocking chairs and shakes her head, "Sorry I couldn’t make it to your party-Did you have a good birthday?"
"It made me really happy, thank you!" He sits down in the livingroom with her. "It was alright. I had a nice day"
lucasthatsme said: He smiles at her, pulling her in a hug. He’s wearing the bracelet he got from her.
She blinks, a bit surprised by his hug at first. She does end up returning it though, “Oh wow, I didn’t expect this either-But, it is nice. Especially since I’m not crying this time.”
She parts from him and her eyes wander to the bracelet, “So you did get my package!! I was so worried it hadn’t gotten to you.”
"Yeah, i did! I really liked the present, thank you!" He smiles and finally enters the house.
There is a nice package at his door with a note on it. It is all tidy and wrapped up in brown paper with a nice red bow around it all. Once he opens up the box he will find some decorated sugar cookies that have plastic wrap on them to keep them safe. He will also find a nice little simple bracelet in there with a heart saying the word “brother” attached to it. She wishes she could have been there for his birthday, but, she’s been unable to leave the house as of late.
The note reads:
I would just like to thank you for your help the last time you visited-As, I would still be at the low state I was. I wish I could be there for you birthday, but, I am still having trouble leaving the house. Once i am feeling up again, I will definitely be over to see you-Do not think you have gotten out of this! Happy late birthday, Lucas.
He opened his door to find a package outside. He looked around for who might have delivered it, but he didn’t see anyone at the moment who he suspected had left the package. Lucas simply picked it up and carried it inside.
He placed it on the table in the living room, opening it to find a note. He smiled, seeing it was from Iiliit. His face turned a little worried while reading the note, but he was glad she felt better. Plans of a new visit formed in his head as he put the note aside and turned to see what was in the box. He picked up the sugar cakes and smiled, walking over to the kitchen, putting them on the counter.
He returned to the box noticing there was more in it. He reached down and picked up the bracelet, his smile turned even wider when he saw the heart with the word ‘brother’ attached to it. He put it on, debating on whether to text her or not, deciding against it. He wanted tot hank her in person.
…Did you just pull a Dad joke?
I didn’t pull anything. I spoke.
Lucas, stop being such a smartass
You can’t tell me what to do.
You still can’t tell me what to do.
